The island's default state
TEC1's re-animation tech was never meant to be permanent — a ratings gimmick, bring a dead contestant back for one more scene. Then the staff evacuated and nobody turned it off. Now it just runs, forever, on anyone who dies within its range.
There's no leadership here, no goal beyond the hunger the BCU implants leave behind. Every quiet stretch you get on the island is just a gap between waves — the Re-Animated are what's underneath everything else.
